Briquette is in the shape of almond, tablet or walnut. In this form, sodium hydroxide walnut, potassium hydroxide walnut and calcium chloride nut have a transfer surface more significant than a sphere and a shape more hydrodynamic than flakes.
Briquettes represent an optimum compromise between pearls and flakes.
Reduction of briquettes' contacts between each other, avoids significant phenomena of bed caking leading to more pressure drop and formation of preferential ways. The two different sizes of walnut permit to find the right balance between performances and pressure drop.
